COUNSELING
I invite my clients to bring their full, authentic selves into our sessions as we collaborate to achieve their goals. My counseling approach is trauma-informed, person-centered, and somatic, while also being culturally responsive and affirming of neurodiversity and LGBTQIA+ identities. I practice through an anti-oppression lens, ensuring that our work together is rooted in empathy, inclusivity, and a deep respect for your unique experiences and identity.
As a licensed therapist in the state of Illinois, I am able to provide counseling services to clients residing within Illinois. Let’s partner together on your journey toward healing, growth, and empowerment.
SOMATIC THERAPY
Somatic Therapy is a holistic approach to mental health that focuses on the connection between mind and body to support healing, emotional processing, and personal growth. This practice helps clients build their capacity to be present with their feelings, including heavier emotions they may have struggled to sit with in the past. By learning how to cultivate body awareness and listen to the messages our bodies hold, clients can release stored trauma, regulate their nervous systems, and foster a deeper sense of self-connection.
This process not only supports healing but also increases the capacity to fully enjoy life, experience joy, and navigate challenges with resilience.

JESSICA'S MEDIA MENTIONS
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR FRIEND HAS MAIN CHARACTER SYNDROME AND IT'S EXHAUSTING
July 19, 2021
“That’s so important, to listen to ourselves,” Jackson said. “Some of us have been quieting ourselves for such a long time that people are not listening to their intuition—all they hear is everyone else’s voice for them. Our internal voice shouldn’t sound like our parents or our friends.” - Jessica

Random Acts of Knowledge Podcast
August 5, 2021
Do you know someone who acts like they are the star of their own movie and you and their other friends are just supporting players?
This type of behavior has a new name: “Main Character Syndrome,” and it can overwhelm friends and loved ones. It’s not all bad, though. Some degree of self-loving behavior is positive.
In our Random Acts of Knowledge podcast we chat with counselor Jessica Jackson about finding the right balance of “Main Character Energy” to live a healthy life.
